Classic view from the interior of the Packard automotive plant in Detroit. The idea of Rome is as dead now as it was when the Empire failed and fell because no one cared to keep it going. I don’t see ruins in Detroit, I see mountains and inspiration. I think of the remnants of the empires of Detroit as the mountains of Michigan, physically acnd philosophically, and should all be turned into parks for everyone to experience and to explore.
