Fashion Fool 2009 - Scaramanga Flight Bag

Fall fashion is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s a time when you can layer things into a montage, but not be over-heated (as in Summer) nor too cold (as in Winter). It’s a time to Photoshop your body in layers of scarfs, cool bags, hats, Bolivian gloves, and comfortable (but form fitting) sweaters. This year the women of Zurich are sporting sexy leggings reminiscent of a bondage party but just classy enough (usually) to be worn when meeting their Grandmothers for a coffee at the Sprüngli cafe on Bahnfofstrasse.
This year my Fall fashion look revolves around a nice fitting grey jacket from H&M, it has the look of a blazer but with a more relaxed feel than that of a suit. It doesn’t hand on my body, I wear it like a glove, and it’s perfect for layering with a sweater or even a hoody. Scarves can wrap around the neck easily and tuck in under the collar when it’s turned up.
No Fall look is complete without a bag. This year I found a cool company called Scaramanga in the UK. They design and sell vintage looking elements like journals, trunks, suitcases, and very nicely styled bags. They’re sometimes out of stock of the one you want, but they’re reasonably priced, and totally unique. I picked up their vintage flight bag, it fits my G4 Powerbook and my journal with pens - all I need for a day of writing and brainstorming lighting diagrams.
